Q.   Can you explain the 5-3-2-0 Scoring System?

A.   Of course…

• 5 points for predicting the EXACT SCORE (e.g. Predict 3-0, Actual Result 3-0; Predict 1-1, Actual Result 1-1);
• 3 points for predicting the MATCH RESULT to be a draw, but not predicting the correct SCORE (e.g. Predict 1-1, Actual Result 0-0);
• 2 points for predicting CORRECT Home/Away RESULT, but not predicting the correct SCORE (e.g. Predict 1-0, Actual Score 4-1; Predict 1-2, Actual Score 0-1)
• 0 Points for getting SCORE and RESULT both wrong (e.g Predict 2-0, Actual Score 2-2; Predict 1-1, Actual Score 1-3)

Q.   Why do you give 3 points for a Draw, and only 2 for a Home, or Away?

A.    A Draw is generally harder to predict, so we reward those ‘predictors’ who take the gamble

Q.   Are scores taken “After 90 Minutes”?

A.   Yes – extra-time &/or penalties are not taken into account.  The result after 90 minutes is the score you are trying to predict
