Week 30 – four matches gone…

Talented triplets lead the way…

Our club’s talented triplets, Alfie, Ian & Etta lead after the first 4 games (12 points). To add to the excitement, Alfie, Ian ‘n’ Etta have predicted the RESULT of all four matches so far!

Dave Imlay is 2nd with 9 points and Craig, Brian and Eric are 3rd with 8 points.

Many of our eagle-eyed punters will have noticed that Ian Murray’s lead at the top is down to 1 point (351 v 350). Are we about to see the lead changing hands after 28 weeks at the top? WIll Dave topple Ian?

Watch out for tomorrow’s scorelines…

Week 29 – Result

In what was the lowest-scoring weekend of the season so far, John Fletcher held on to his lead to take the prize-money.

Only 1 person spotted a draw for the English League Cup final but was were too far behind to claim top-spot.

Dave Imlay chopped 3 points off of Ian Murray’s lead and the gap is now down to a measly 4 points

Note: the ONLY match in which ANYONE predicted a correct score was when John Fletcher and Alfie predicted Aberdeen’s 2-0 away win in Perth.

Two matches had NO RESULTS correct (Hearts v St Mirren and Livingston v Killie); one match had only one correct result (Chelsea v Man City) and one match had two correct results (Man U v Liverpool)

A good week for UK bookmakers, i’m guessing!

Week 29 – CORRECTIONS…

Thanks to eagle-eyed punter, Ian Murray , the scores for the Man U v Liverpool and Chelsea v Man City have been corrected.

This was entirely MY ERROR.

I had put the Man U match as Game #7 on the sheet (and Chelsea as Game #8), but on the web page, they were the other way around.

here are the predictions as they should have been published at the start …

Week 28 – result

Craig wins, pipping Anne with last-gasp victory

Craig Middleton snatched victory by spotting Man U’s 2-0 win at Stamford Bridge on Monday

First to congratulate Craig was long-time leader, Anne Thom, who lost by a measly 1 point.

Shug and Dave Stephen were another point back on 17 points.

Nobody else came close

Ian Murray opened up his lead at the top of race for the end-of-season title, outscoring his nearest challenger, Dave Imlay, by 11 points to 6.

Biggest climber was Anne Thom, who leapt up 4 places and this week’s winner, Craig, jumped 3 places into the Top 3, bumping Mally down to 5th place

Week 28 Result

One match remaining…

Anne Thom retains 2-point lead

Week 28 – 7 matches down …

… with only 1 match remaining (Chelsea v Man U), Anne Thom retains her lead at the top of this weekend’s board.

3 people are still in with a chance of the win, or a share, depending on tomorrow night’s score

0-2 === Craig wins outright
2-1 === Ian Baptie shares with Anne
any other score === Anne wins outright

Ian Murray extends his lead at the top to 5 points after spotting C.Palace’s 2-0 away win. That could all change though tomorrow as both have 2-1 wins (Ian for Man U; Dave for Chelsea)

Motherwell 2 – 1 Hearts

Anne Thom moves into the lead…

What a difference THAT late goal by Motherwell has made

At 1-1 Dave Stephen would be this week’s leader and Dave Imlay would have overtaken Ian Murray at the top for the end-of-season prize.

However, the match ended 2-1 to Motherwell, so Anne Thom leads (12 points) with Craig and Shug a couple of points behind (on 10 pts)

Two more matches still to come today, plus another one tomrrow evening…

Week 28 – after 5 matches

Week 28 – after 4 matches…

Shug leads with a creditable 10 points after a low-scoring first 4 matches.

Dave Stephen is close behind with 8 points and Anne Thom is a further point adrift with 7 points.

Adam is the only person who has so far failed to score any points.

In the overall championship, the first 4 people on the leaderboard all scored a miserly 2 points.

All to play for with 3 more matches tomorrow…
