We all knew before today’s match that Alfie couldn’t be caught, so only Dundee and Celtic supporters could really be bothered about the result.
As it happened, NOBODY thought that Dundee would restrict the Mighty ‘Tic to only one goal, so we all got 2 points!
Congrats to Alfie on his impressive victory.
In the race for the end-of-season spoils, both Ian M and Dave I scored a paltry 4 points, so there is NO CHANGE to Ian’s 3-point gap as well end the final weeks of the season. However, quiet man (cough, cough) John Fletcher, in 3rd place, is now only 9 points behind Dave.
Any movements up/down the leaderboard all happened as a result of Alfie’s impressive 16 points. Alfie jumps 4 places into 8th place, nudging Kevin, GMac, Adam and Brian a little step down the board.

Apologies for being so late with publishing the predictions….
We’re back up to 18 participants again (welcome ‘home’ Dave O)
Sadly, pretendy football club, St Johnstone haven’t been able to install suitable drainage/employ enough groundstaff/drum up enough supporters to ensure that a spot of rain and a few flakes of snow would enable The Battle of the Saints could go ahead.
Ian M and Dave I have predicted the same scoreline for 5 of the remaining seven matches (both playing it safe) so plenty opportunity for everyone else to start their charge.
Good luck to all. Here are your scores …

Grim Portaloo wins the money this week after predicting Killie to beat St Mirren 1-0, just pipping Adam, who had looked the more likely winner until Killie’s 87th minute winner.
Scores were generally low (average score was 7.76)
Ian Murray (359 pts) has extended his lead to 3 points in his personal battle with David Imlay (356) at the top of the Overall Leaderboard.
Anne Thom is currently the hottest tipster, jumping another 2 places this week (after jumping 1 last week).

Week 31 – Sunday night standings…
Well, this is exciting!
Sunday summary:
Everyone predicted Liverpool to beat Burnley but nobody spotted the obvious 4-2 win!
Only GMac thought that Arsenal could beat Man Utd but he thought that ManUre would score – so only 2 pts gained against the field
GP and Adam share the lead with a measly 9 points, but almost HALF THE FIELD can still win, or at least get a share of the money
Astonishingly, Ian Baptie, IN LAST PLACE, CAN STILL WIN (SHARED) – but only if St Mirren beat Killie 1-0!!!
In the race for End-of-Season winner, Dave has a 0-2 away win tomorrow and Ian M has 1-2 away win. The difference at the moment is 3 points, so depending on the result, we MIGHT have JOINT LEADERS
Told you it was exciting!!

Week 31 – after first 5 games …
It looks like being another low-scoring week (so correct scores are vital).
After 5 games, Adam has been joined at the top of the pile by The Doc (GP (thanks, Craig)), both amassing 7 points.
Nobody is too far behind with 3 matches remaining (ending on Monday night with St Mirren v Killie) so it’s still all to play for …

Well, that was the most one-sided 1-1 draw I’ve ever seen (but I’m not bitter)…
0 – 43 mins 0-0 Adam (only person to predict anything that isn’t a Rangers victory (bitter Jambo/closet Hibee)) leads with 3 pts;
43 – 76 mins 0-1 Alfie (5 pts) leads by 3 pts v everybody (except Adam) gets 2 pts (Kevin, Shug and Dave S pray for 2nd Rangers goal; Adam prays for Hibs equaliser);
76 – 95 mins 1-1 Adam leads again (everybody praying for 2nd Rangers goal – especially Ian M, Dave I, Fletch, Craig, Mally, Barney and Ian B)
FT: Hibs 1 – 1 Rangers
Adam 5 – 0 Everybody Else

Seventeen sets of scores again this weekend.
16 people favour Rangers to beat Hibs in tonight’s match (so we all know what WON’T happen). Of those 16, SEVEN (including all of the Top 4 on the leaderboard) have ‘Gers to win by 2 goals to 1.
Good luck to all

For yet another week, nobody predicted the score (or even the result) of the final match.
Partick 1 – 1 Hearts means that Alfie and GMac will share this week’s prize.
Both scored an impressive 17 points in a very low-scoring weekend.
Nobody else achieved double figures, so Dave Imlay’s paltry 9 points was enough to secure his 3rd place.
In the race for end-of-season bragging rights, Dave I is now only ONE POINT behind long-time leader, Ian Murray.
GMac and Alfie’s 17-points saw them both leap two places up the leaderboard into 9th, and 10th respectively.
Please note that this weekend’s first match is on Friday, when Hibernian host Rangers.

Holy smoke!! Alfie and GMac are miles ahead!!
With only one match remaining, it’s a straight fight between Alfie and George. Both have an amazing 17 points, with their nearest challenger (Dave Imlay) a massive 8 points adrift.
Both protagonists have opted for Hearts to score 3 goals, but GMac thinks that the Jags will fail to score, whilst Alfie is a little bit more optimistic about their hopes, putting them down to score one goal.
Everybody has Hearts to win and Dave I and Ian M both have the same 0-2 scoreline – so Ian will maintain the overall lead, guaranteed to stay 1 point clear.
