Week 21 Result

Shug wins with record-breaking 22 points

All the excitement took place on Saturday as Shug’s 20 points gave him an uncatchable 6-point after the first 7 matches.

All that was left was to see if he could beat George McIntosh’s 21-points from Week 19

Well, Man City did him proud and, although he didn’t spot the correct score, he DID predict the AWAY WIN

There was a 5-way tie for 2nd place – Dave I, Brian B, Alfie, GMac and Eric B all scoring an impressive 16 points

Biggest climber this week was Shug (up 4 places – to 6th-equal), whilst Alfie and GMac both leapt 3 places (joint-11th)

Ian Murray, unsurprisingly leads us into 2019 with an 18-point lead from Ian Imlay.  John Fletcher completes the Top 3 – a further 4 points behind.

Week 20 Result…

Dave Stephen wins for 2nd time in four weeks

Nobody spotted Spurs’ 6-2 victory at Everton, so it’s Dave Stephen who wins the money this week.

Dave Imlay has leapt into 2nd-place and has cut Ian Murray’s lead at the top to 22 points (previously 30 pts ahead).

Fletch drops one place to 3rd.

WEEK 19 RESULT

G-Mac wins with record-breaking score of 21 points

Proof, if it was needed, that anyone can win this weekly prize. With no footballing knowledge and only a basic grasp of numbers, George McIntosh has scooped this week’s prize – with a record-breaking 21 points.

Alfie ran him close with a strong finish – taking maximum points from the Rangers and Liverpool matches.  Alfie leapt into 2nd-place.

Ian Murray, Kevin Stephen and Eric Barty tied for 3rd-spot.

Biggest climbers this week – both up 3 places – are Stewart Bell (into 10th) and Alfie (12th).

Ian Murray extends his lead to a massive 30 points and is going to be hard to catch – although we’re not even halfway through the season.

Week 19 – after 5 matches…

G-Mac builds comfortable leads

After a slow start, goals started to rain in and in the deluge, George McIntosh sailed in with an impressive 17 points.

Ian Murray and Kevin Stephen are his nearest challengers but they are 5 points adrift on 12 points

Craig and Becky are the only other predictors in double figures, with 11 and 10 points respectively.

Week 18 Result…

Ian Murray wins – again

This news won’t come as any great suprise to those who has been following the scores as they’ve come in over the weekend.

Ian Murray comfortably held onto his lead, winning with 14 points – 3 points ahead of his nearest challengers.

Four (of the five) runners-up spotted the Wolves away win at Newcastle, two of whom got the scoreline exactly right.

Unsurprisingly, Ian extends his lead at the top of the Overall leaderboard, but it’s John Fletcher who is now his nearest challenger, leapfrogging David Imlay, who drops to 3rd place.

Eric Barty suffered the most this week, dropping from 16th to 19th spot.

Week 18 – after 5 matches

Ian Murray has a good lead after the first 5 matches of the weekend.

He has an impressive 14 points and leads by 3 points from Dave Oversby.

4 people are on 9 points (in joint-3rd place).

The Top 6 names all have the same scoreline for the Chelsea-Man City fixture, so it could be a good opportunity for someone further down the leaderboard to make a late challenge.

However, Ian is hot favourite to pick up this weekend’s prizepot – and extend his lead at the top of the overall leaderboard.

In quite a settled leaderboard, Ian Murray retains his lead at the top for the sixteenth week in a row.
